Access to Medicines in Brazil: Where Are We Now, and Where Do We Need to Go?

Is your research part of the history of Brazilian public health? Submit your work to the BJHP 2026 Special Call for Papers!

2026 is not just a year on the calendar; it is a milestone for all of us who believe in science in the service of life. We are celebrating two decades of the “Aqui Tem Farmácia Popular” program and 15 years of the National Commission for the Incorporation of Technologies into the Unified Health System (Conitec)—pillars that have transformed access to medicines in Brazil.

But to know where we’re going, we need to analyze where we are. And this is where your voice and your research come in.

The Brazilian Journal of Health and Pharmacy (BJHP) invites you, the researcher, to take the lead in this reflection. We want to highlight your work and transform data into knowledge that impacts society.

Theme: Access to Medicines in Brazil: Where Are We and Where Do We Need to Go?
