The VIII Academic Pharmacy Symposium (SAF) of the Federal University of São João del-Rei took place between the 2nd and 6th of October 2023, with the thematic axis of “Hospital Pharmacy: area of multiple responsibilities of the pharmacist”
The event was coordinated by Profa. Cristina Sanches, Prof. Mariana Linhares Pereira and the student Natália de Oliveira Lima Ribeiro. The VIII SAF was organized by students from three academic leagues in the pharmacy course, namely: LAFarC – Academic League of Clinical Pharmacy; LAACT - Academic League of Clinical and Toxicological Analysis; LAFARTEC – Academic League of Pharmacotechnology and Cosmetology.
This scientific event brought a broad discussion about the role and challenges faced by Pharmacist at Hospital Pharmacy, for this we have nationally and internationally, who contributed by disseminating their knowledge and with the partnership of Revista from the Minas Gerais Regional Pharmacy Council: Brazilian Journal of Health and Pharmacy (BJHP), where our participants had the opportunity to publish their abstracts. Furthermore, we count with the support of the Dean of Education at UFSJ and the Regional Pharmacy Council of the State of Minas Gerais.
I congratulate all the organizers of VIII SAF and all the authors who contributed to the dissemination of quality scientific knowledge.
